Volkswagen Ragtop Oval Beetle - Classic. This is a FULLY restored and rust-free ragtop oval Beetle. Beautiful blue-grey color. Classy cloth interior. Ragtop sunroof is seamlessly grafted from a 1959 donor. Correctly lowered. Period-correct new wiring harness, door/window rubber new, restored period-correct speedo, period-correct square weave carpet. Even has the silly little oval/split rear seat pillows. Pan/chassis is powder-coated as is engine tin. Heater channels were replaced without heater box option. Front disc brakes. Fuchs wheels with matching paint (spare is Fuchs too). Rattltrap sound dampening mats throughout floorpan and doors. Coco mats. The 36 hp engine is the correct year but is NOT the original motor. Starts and runs great; nice and dry underneath. Freeway flyer tranny. Will cruise at 60-65 mph without trouble (honestly haven't tried to go faster...why would I?). Most but NOT all glass is original Sekurit.Car was purchased in 1956 by a SoCal mechanic. Restored a few years ago in SoCal. I am the second owner after pan-off resto (I added a few finishing touches and tweaks). Stored indoors under a soft cover and never driven in rain or snow; Idaho climate is drier than SoCal.The bad things: lowered swing axle Beetles are a bit squirrely to drive. This is no different but it is plenty manageable. The pain looks superb from a few feet away BUT there are a few minor blemishes that keep it from being perfect.This car is a show stopper and head turner. I don't HAVE to sell it...so it won't go for a bargain. Buyer to arrange transport from Idaho. I will assist loading.
