Driven 248 miles since completing restoration in April 2021.
Odometer reading is 56,800 (probably turned over at least once).

ENGINE
Professionally rebuilt dual port 1600cc with dual carbs, doghouse fan shroud, type 4 oil cooler,
screw-on oil filter, serpentine pulleys,
Empi clutch, and ceramic header with dual quiet mufflers.
TRANSAXLE
IRS w/“Freeway Flyer” gearbox.  .89:1 final drive ratio in 4
th
gear.
SUSPENSION
Adjustable front struts.  Empi-style 8-spoke aluminum rims with new Douglas tires.
EXTERIOR
Ice Blue Metallic / clear coat.  Cal-look window seals.  Roof Rack.
INTERIOR
Empi T-handle, short-throw shifter with reverse lock-out, center console,
and Pioneer stereo with Kenwood amp.
SUMMARY
This classic VW was purpose-built with quality parts to be a reliable
daily driver, that also shows well at events and cruise nights.
This bug drives great, sounds good and turns heads wherever we go.
It starts easily, runs strong and
does not leak
!

The photos have a weird hue from all of the smoke in the sky today.  This car was listed before but with a bigger engine and T-bar bumpers. It turns out people aren't interested in a hotrod Super Beetle so I put the new stock 1600 engine in and added new bumpers. Drives like a dream.
