APPLICATIONS
- Type W is for use in heavy duty power systems as power supply cable such as: AC systems (grounded and ungrounded); mobile and portable electrical equipment; motor and battery leads. 2 conductor constructions are for systems with no grounding requirement. Type W is for applications up to 2000 volts and temperatures from -40°C to +90°C.
CONDUCTORS
- Type W has a flexible strand soft drawn bare copper conductor per ICEA-S-75-381.
INSULATION
- Type W has ethylene propylene diene monomer EPDM insulation.
JACKET
- Type W has a black chlorinated polyethylene CPE jacket, which is water, chemical, sunlight and abrasion resistant.
STANDARDS
- MSHA approved.
- NEMA WC-58.
- L Type W 2000V.
